CAS Swirly Bird

Couldn't resist another Swirly Whirly card. This time I went right back to my basic stamping style. CAS, actually as simple as they come!

The layered squares are part of a set of framelits which will be available on 1st June. I can see I'm going to get a lot of use from them. LOVE!!!!

Swirly Whirly Birthday!

One of the new stamp sets from the 2016/17 catalogue we were allowed to pre-order is called "Swirly Bird". To be honest, I blew right past it when I saw it .... then I started seeing cards popping up on pinterest using it and it really is a wow!

Here's a card for my cousin, Kate, whose birthday was on the 16th. The swirly circle is cut from a coodinating framelit, along with the leaves and stylised roses.

Birthday Wreath

My daughter's "Mother in Law" (she's not married, but her boyfriend's mum is her #2 mum) had a birthday last weekend and Sarah was invited to her celebration dinner tonight. I made this card for her to take. I used the spring wreath set which thankfully carried over to the new catalogue! If you take a look at the side views, you can see that I actually stamped the wreath three times and layered up the flowers. It took some time, but it was worth it. The dimension is great.

90th & 70th Birthday Boxes

EDITED TO ADD : Peggy Jones asked for the instructions for these elongated pop up boxes. You can find them here.

Two milestone birthdays to celebrate this month. I made elongated card-boxes using the oh-so-fabulous "Number of Years" stamp set paired with Balloon Celebration. I was so happy to see these 2 sets made it to the 2016/17 Main catalogue.

Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper is my absolute favourite in a LONG time, I'm stocking up on this before it leaves us forever at the end of the moth. The colours really speak to me, soft and delicate with a big impact.
