January Club Projects

Sale-a-Bration is underway and my 2013 Club starts this weekend! Our projects include the 'Chalkboard Technique', a 3x3 notecard set with vellum box and a pom-pom flower made with the new crepe paper. All fun to make, can't wait to get together with my Ladies again!

Projects include the Spring Mini set "Oh Hello", "Hearts a Flutter" and the SAB sets, "Madison Avenue" and "Vintage Verses".

Over the weekend, I will make a quick photo tutorial on how to make the flowers and the vellum box. Until then, Happy Stamping!

By The Tide & Rain or Shine

I made two cards for an organised Leadership Swap. Lyssa Zwolanek does a brilliant job of gathering 100+ Stampin' Up demonstrators and keeping us in line for this HUGE swap! Thank you, Lyssa!

Here are the 2 swap cards I made. This first one is a new set called 'By the Tide'. I love this set and got some great sample ideas from the display boards, and from this swap. It makes a wonderful masculine card.

Recipe
Stamps : By the Tide, Netting (Background Stamp)
Ink : Midnight Muse, Crumb Cake
Cardstock : Very Vanilla, Midnight Muse
Accessories : Midnight Muse Ribbon, Linen Thread, 1/2 Pearls

And here's my other swap card using 'Rain or Shine'. I love the fresh, crisp look of this. I used some core'dinations pool party cardstsock for the clouds behind the brolly. A little bit of sanding gave GREAT added texture.

Recipe
Stamps : Rain or Shine
Ink : Primrose Petals, Pool Party
Cardstock : Shimmery White, Primrose Petals, Pool Party core'dinations
Accessories : Primrose Petals Ribbon, Labels Collection Framelits, Oval Framelits, XL Oval Punch, Vine Street EF, Big Shot

During leadership, Stampin' Up announced many exciting NEW things they will be trying during this anniversary year, 2013.

Stampin' Up are launching a monthly subscription club called "my paper pumpkin". If you subscribe, you will receive a box containing all you will need to make the project of that month, the photo below is an example of what's available in March. You can stop your subscription whenever you like, there's no 'time' obligation to fulfil. Visit the website for all the details.
Stampin' Up will also be offering MORE SINGLE STAMP options. Here are some examples and a link to Assortment 3 and Assortment 4 These single stamps are available for order NOW!

One of my favourite singles is this one which is only $5.95, item number 132665:

These anniversary promotions just keep on coming. Stampin' Up BEST OF stamp sets: This is an image of the first Anniversary Set available for purchase, Item No. 132929 $14.95.

Here's what Stampin' Up have to say about the Anniversary Sets :

As part of our 25-year anniversary celebration, we're bringing back some of our favorite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 12 sets, which will release-one set per month-during 2013. Even better, along with some great classic images, each "Best of" set will also include a never-before-seen image!
Some things to remember:
  • All Best of stamp sets will include 3-5 images, including a never-before seen image, and will be priced at $14.95.
  • While we are releasing just one Best of stamp set per month (with a new theme each month), all of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.
  • A new flyer will be released every month for each new Best of set.
  • All Best of stamp sets are available in Clear-Mount only.
While we are releasing just one Best of stamp set per month, all of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.
As a special incentive to collect the Best of stamps, starting in February we're including a collector's card and 25-year proof of purchase sticker with every Best of set. Collect six stickers, and send it in to redeem a FREE set of your choice valued up to $14.95! Free sets must be redeemed no later than April 30, 2014.

I know I just bombarded you with information, but we are going to need to keep up with the wonderful new promotions Stampin' Up have in store for us in 2013!

Please remember that you can order from my online store ANY TIME :)

As always, any questions, just let me know.

Leadership 2013

I am going to post some pics of Leadership 2013 in this post. I shan't write a long blurb ... but let me start off by just saying I made MANY new friendships this trip, I met my long lost twin, Tina Weller, and I also met my new BFF, Brian. It was love at first sight (for me) when I watched this video, and I'm glad to say I stalked him and found him and we're now BFFs! Look, how perfect do we look together?

... and here are the obligatory "Stampin' Boards" pics :)

This is inside the Chapin Theatre, waiting for the fun to start ....

... and this is what 'main stage' looks like when someone is presenting. It doesn't matter where you sit, the huge jumbo-tron screens make it easy to see everything!

Paper Crafters Sampler January Sneak Peak

I was asked by Melanie Schulenberg if I'd like to be on the Design Team for the first 6 months of 2013 for Paper Crafters Sampler. I was a little daunted when she first asked me, have you SEEN some of the work on there? Wow! But I figured if she thinks I can do it, then I probably can ....

Here's a couple of sneak peak pics of my January project.

If you click the link to PCS, then Melanie gives you all the details of the 'early bird special'. She very kindly e:mailed me all the embedded doo-dads for putting all that info on my blog, but I'm ashamed to say I'll have to wait for Sarah to do it for me! Techno-phobe!
